Technical Services & Design

The Group’s Technical Services & Design (TSD) department is responsible for design and construction management of new hotel projects. The team supervises the property’s maintenance programs and also coordinates renovation scopes of existing hotels and resorts. TSD associates also work closely with the owner, project management team and design consultants.

TSD team oversees the project from the early stages of planning through construction until completion and handover to the operations team. The team works with architects and consultants to achieve the maximum value for each project, ensuring that every property is built efficiently and in line with design and brand standards. TSD inspects the construction sites regularly to ensure that the quality goals are met throughout the project development phase to aid the timely opening of the hotels.

CMG’s, TSD ensures that the FLS (fire, life, safety), the security of the property and the usage of all necessary hygiene practices are implemented in all areas of the hotel. All of the above must be online with the local and international requirements.

A design control document that outlines the hotel’s necessary affiliate components is provided to the appointed consultants to serve as guidelines and the qualities applicable for the selected brand requirements and standards.

Human Resources, Training & Development

We undertake the task of recruiting the highest level general manager and department heads, we prepare orientation & induction programs, training manuals to comply with the chosen brand standards, training of all hotel employees and management, while implementing the hotel’s organizational structure and graphs for the property, job descriptions for all senior management, department heads, supervisors, and rank & file employees. The HR department follows up on management evaluations, personal development /succession planning and conducts employee satisfaction surveys etc. Recruitment policies, salary scales, labor relations and workers compensation, incentive & bonus schemes as well as employee benefits are introduced in accordance with the local labor laws.

Pre-Opening Services

Opening a hotel is a complicated process, which requires a skilled team. Each and every member of CMG management team personally led or participated in multiple hotel openings and has all the necessary expertise that’s required to deliver a successful opening.

Regardless of the size of the hotel, some specific phases and procedures must be respected and followed.

It usually takes between six to nine months, pending the size of a hotel and its location, to implement all planned actions before the soft opening of a hotel. The pre-opening phase includes many challenges and opportunities.
